This  heifer forecasts to grow horns from the mid to upper 70's tip to tip and is a shining example of what Max is capable of. Our Objective

    All of the breeders we know have certain things in common. We are competitive, we are dreamers, and while we may have different methods, we all want to breed the Best of the Best. Our plan at the Lazy L ranch is simply to use proven bloodlines to breed the best all around cattle. While those of us who breed longhorns have a natural and understandable tendency to focus on horn, our objective is to do our best to also give appropriate emphasis to the breeding of color and confirmation.

Our Ideal

Our ideal animal, like the line-back cow pictured above, would posses magnificent horns with larger correct bodies showing loud colors. All breeders want that, but we have chosen to develop proven bloodlines to breed a balance of these desirable properties. We are clearly excited about some of the newer bloodlines and have invested heavily in "The Shadow" and "Gunman" linage, but we believe that the influence of older bloodlines like "Emperor", "Bail Jumper" and the venerable "Phenomenon" should not be ignored.
